Halal-certified culinary school hosts educational leaders from Malaysia

Members of the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development and the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment from Sarawak, Malaysia, visited the JIB International Management School and ICHEF on Wednesday, October 9.

Joining the delegation were Deddy Faisal Ahmed Salleh, Consul General of Malaysia, and TESDA officials from various regional offices. The visit aimed to explore the school’s facilities, including its Halal Culinary Laboratory.

Joji Ilagan Bian, chairperson of Joji Ilagan International Schools and Group of Companies, welcomed the delegation. ICHEF, a culinary school under the group, is Halal certified and holds Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification from Dubai-based Halal certifying body Prime Group of Companies.

The visit highlighted the school’s commitment to providing Halal-compliant culinary education and its role in promoting safe and ethical food handling practices.
