The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) took part in the launchg of Iligan City’s Pakaradiya-an Festival 2024 and the Halal-friendly Iligan City and Trade Expo, held at Robinsons Iligan.
The launch event was graced by DTI Undersecretary Ana Carolina P. Sanchez, marking a significant step in the Department’s commitment to positioning the Philippines as the fastest-growing Halal hub in the Asia Pacific region.
The Pakaradiya-an Festival, running until July 28, 2024, provides a vibrant platform for exhibitors to showcase their Halal-certified products, highlighting the rich cultural and economic potential of Halal-friendly initiatives.
The event is part of the government’s push to promote local products and enhancing the city’s reputation as a key player in the Halal industry.
The Halal-friendly Iligan City and Trade Expo at Robinsons Iligan offered a variety of Halal-certified products, attracting both local and international visitors.
This initiative aligns with DTI’s broader strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Philippine products in the global market, particularly in the burgeoning Halal sector.
