NCMF BMEA Partners with M&T Consultants to Boost Islamic Finance and Halal Industry in the Philippines

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), through its Bureau of Muslim Economic Affairs (BMEA), forged a key partnership with M&T Consultants to advance the Islamic Finance and Halal industry in the Philippines.

This collaboration is designed to foster engagement opportunities and support efforts to harness the full potential of this emerging sector.

M&T Consultants, also known as Salvador-Marohombsar and Lao-Tiboron Consultants, is a respected professional firm known for its expertise in business and finance.

The partnership will leverage their knowledge and experience to help BMEA achieve its objectives in strengthening the Islamic Finance and Halal industry.

The event began with a spiritual opening du’a led by Aleem Jamal Habib, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. BMEA Director Saleha P. Sacar, J.D., D.P.A., delivered a welcoming address, expressing her enthusiasm for the partnership and introducing the M&T team, headed by Managing Partner Mr. Hamodi Lao Tiboron, CPA.

Following the ceremonial signing of the agreement, Mr. Tiboron shared an acceptance speech, outlining plans to develop a robust Islamic Finance framework and emphasizing the importance of collaboration in advancing shared goals. His vision for the Halal sector highlighted the immense growth potential in the industry.

Honorable Secretary Sabuddin N. Abdurahim also addressed the gathering, expressing strong support for BMEA’s initiatives and commending the partnership as a significant step toward enhancing the Islamic Finance landscape in the Philippines.

The initiative was led by Cooperative Division Chief Mr. Almojin D. Pandapatan, whose leadership was crucial in facilitating the collaboration.

Also present at the event were NCMF Halal Focal Person and Acting Chief of the Halal Division, Rakimah M. Solaiman, along with key staff members, including Ms. Norfaisah H. Maulana, Ms. Hiawatha Pangarungan, Ms. Alayza P. Masorong, Ms. Najah Nasroding, Mr. Arham D. Pangadapun, Mr. Hanz Mambuay, Mr. Abdul Jalim N. Pangandaman, and the HR interns.

BMEA extended its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Secretary Sabuddin N. Abdurahim for his tireless support, which has been instrumental in advancing the interests of the Muslim community and promoting the growth of the Islamic Finance and Halal industry in the Philippines.
