PH hosts Halal Investment Forum in Abu Dhabi

The Philippine government is hosting the Halal Investment Forum which serves as the perfect platform to explore opportunities in the booming Halal industry.

The forum will be held at the Philippine Pavilion in Abu Dhabi and attendees will discover Tatak Pinoy Excellence – a showcase of world-class Halal-certified products and services from the Philippines.

The forum aims to provide a platform for collaboration for a Halal-friendly future and unlock new horizons for businesses in the global Halal market.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ver, DTI Halal Development Program Manager Aleem Guiapal, DTI regional operations regional director Al-Zamir Lipae, Mary Jane Al Mahdi of Prime Group of Companies, Elsie Chua of the PH-Saudi Arabia Business Coucil and Vichael Roaring, Trade Commissioner from PH Trade and Investment Center- Dubai, and Malou Prado of the MPQ Ttravel and Tourism will be speaking at the forum.

The Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE) 2024 is set to showcase a diverse array of high-quality, Halal-certified products from the Philippines, the Philippine Pavilion promises to be a highlight of the event, offering a curated selection of world-class brands and products that reflect the richness of Filipino culinary and agricultural innovation.

Leading the Philippine delegation at the exhibition is Aleem Guiapal, the Program Manager of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Halal Development and Trade Office.

Guiapal is joined by DTI Regional Operations Group Regional Director (Zamboanga) Region 1X Alzamir Lipae, Prime Group CEO Dr Mary Jane Alvero, Elsie Chua Co-Chair of Philippine-Saudi Business Council PCCI.

Guiapal emphasizes the significance of the Philippines’ participation in ADIFE, underscoring the growing demand for Halal products in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

“We’re excited to bring the best of the Philippines to Abu Dhabi,” said Guiapal.

“Our Halal-certified products are a testament to the Philippines’ commitment to quality and innovation, and we’re proud to showcase these to an international audience. This exhibition is an excellent platform to foster stronger trade ties between the Philippines and the UAE, while also introducing the global market to the diverse and unique flavors of our country.”

The Philippine Pavilion will feature products from a wide range of categories, including food, beverages, snacks, and natural ingredients, all of which adhere to Halal standards. The exhibiting companies represent some of the best that the Philippines has to offer, and attendees can expect to discover a mix of traditional Filipino favorites and modern innovations.

Guiapal also extend his thanks to the Tatak Pinoy Industrial Policy (TPIP) Program under the Department of Trade and Industry for supporting this initiative and strengthen the platform and support to our MSMEs.
