The provincial government of Cotabato actively participated in the recently concluded Regional Halal Congress held at Venue 88 Hotel and Events Place in General Santos City from November 21-23, 2024.
Focused on advancing the halal food industry across the SOCCSKSARGEN Region, the congress carried the theme “Strengthening the Halal Landscape Towards Greater Opportunities.”
The event explored key strategies to enhance the halal sector and identified potential business opportunities for local communities.
Cotabato’s organic and halal products were featured at the SOCCSKSARGEN Gems: Agricultural Products Expo 2024, an integral part of the congress. Governor Lala Taliño-Mendoza expressed her full support for programs aimed at empowering Moro communities and advancing the region’s halal industry.
The event was organized by the Department of Agriculture – RFO 12, through the Halal Food Industry Development Program, in partnership with the Agri-Business and Marketing Division.
