Halal Friendly PH takes centerstage at ADIFE 2024

The Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE) 2024 is set to showcase a diverse array of high-quality, Halal-certified products from the Philippines.

Running from today, November 26 to 28 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the Philippine Pavilion promises to be a highlight of the event, offering a curated selection of world-class brands and products that reflect the richness of Filipino culinary and agricultural innovation.

Leading the Philippine delegation at the exhibition is Aleem Guiapal, the Program Manager of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Halal Development and Trade Office.

Guiapal is joined by DTI Regional Operations Group Regional Director (Zamboanga) Region 1X Alzamir Lipae, Prime Group CEO Dr Mary Jane Alvero, Elsie Chua Co-Chair of Philippine-Saudi Business Council PCCI.

Guiapal emphasizes the significance of the Philippines’ participation in ADIFE, underscoring the growing demand for Halal products in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

“We’re excited to bring the best of the Philippines to Abu Dhabi,” said Guiapal.

“Our Halal-certified products are a testament to the Philippines’ commitment to quality and innovation, and we’re proud to showcase these to an international audience. This exhibition is an excellent platform to foster stronger trade ties between the Philippines and the UAE, while also introducing the global market to the diverse and unique flavors of our country.”

The Philippine Pavilion will feature products from a wide range of categories, including food, beverages, snacks, and natural ingredients, all of which adhere to Halal standards. The exhibiting companies represent some of the best that the Philippines has to offer, and attendees can expect to discover a mix of traditional Filipino favorites and modern innovations.

Guiapal also extend his thanks to the Tatak Pinoy Industrial Policy (TPIP) Program under the Department of Trade and Industry for supporting this initiative and strengthen the platform and support to our MSMEs.

“This certainly contributes to accelerate economic growth in the country through the halal sector,” he said.
