Philippine Embassy Charge d’Affaires Rommel Romato hosted a reception at the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, welcoming the Philippine Halal Mission delegation after their successful participation in the Saudi Halal Expo 2024.
The event celebrated the delegation’s achievements in promoting the Philippines’ halal industry and strengthening trade relations with Saudi Arabia.
The Philippine Halal Mission included key officials from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture, Department of Budget and Management, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Their efforts at the expo underscored the Philippines’ commitment to expanding its halal industry and building partnerships within the global halal market.
The Halal Mission aims to position the Philippines as a key player in the global halal market, while fostering stronger ties with Saudi Arabia through cultural and economic exchanges.
