Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina A. Roque, during her recent visit to Dubai, actively explored expanding the presence of Filipino Halal-certified products in top supermarkets such as Al Maya and Carrefour.
As part of her mission, she emphasized the potential of Halal-certified Filipino goods, highlighting their quality and competitiveness in the international market.
Roque also visited the SariSari Store, a convenience mart showcasing various Filipino products, including Halal items. This aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s goal of elevating Filipino brands abroad and boosting the country’s economy by tapping into the growing global Halal market.
By fostering partnerships with major retailers and supporting Filipino entrepreneurs, the DTI is opening new avenues for Halal products, paving the way for greater international recognition and success.
