New DTI Acting Chief a champion for MSMEs, Halal Sector

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Halal Development Office has expressed its support for the appointment of Cristina Aldeguer-Roque as the new acting Secretary of DTI.

The Presidential Communications Office commended Roque for her significant contributions to the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the DTI.

The PCO also noted that Roque’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing the MSME Development Group, highlighting her role in overseeing critical areas such as the Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development, the Bureau of Marketing Development and Promotions, the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program Management Office, and the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Management Office.

“Congratulations and Mabuhay, Secretary Cristina Roque. With your leadership championing MSMEs, we will see a strengthened and boosted Halal sector. Alhamdulillah,” said DTI Halal Industry Development Program Manager Aleem Siddiqui Guiapal

The PCO also acknowledged Roque’s extensive experience and dedication, emphasizing her role in fostering the growth of MSMEs and promoting inclusive economic development.
