Raheemah inks partnership with people’s organization for Halal programs in ex-MILF camps

Volunteer group Raheemah has signed an agreement with seven peoples’ organizations and livelihood cooperatives in the former MILF camps, marking a significant milestone in the MILF camps transformation program.

This agreement, which was signed on July 28, 2024, reflects Raheemah’s unwavering commitment to providing technical support on Halal certification and marketing platforms.

The partnership, which also includes Save the Children Philippines and Pakigdait, Inc., aims to empower local communities by ensuring that their products meet Halal standards, thereby opening up new markets and opportunities for growth.

By focusing on Halal certification, Raheemah is helping to build a sustainable future for these communities, promoting economic development, and fostering peace in the region.

Raheemah’s initiative is a crucial step in weaving peace and bridging opportunities, providing the necessary tools and knowledge for these organizations to thrive.

The collaboration is expected to have a lasting impact, improving the livelihoods of many and contributing to the broader goal of regional stability.

Last month, the  Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Halal Industry Development Office and Raheemah came together to discuss collaboration in the realm of halal and heritage products.

DTI Halal Industry Development program manager  Aleem Siddiqui Guiapal met with the group’s officials to explore and enhance marketing opportunities for local producers of halal products.
