The Bangsamoro Government highlighted its growing halal industry at the Halal Expo 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, drawing attention with its unique products, including the durian jam from Sulu Food and Beverage Corporation. The event brought together global representatives to celebrate and promote world-class halal goods.
The durian jam, made from the “king of fruits” native to Asia, symbolizes not just rich flavors but also the cultural heritage and natural wealth of Lupah Sug (Sulu).
The Bangsamoro Government is actively spearheading initiatives to strengthen the halal industry in the region. These efforts include various programs and projects aimed at enhancing the quality and creativity of halal products and services, underscoring the potential of Bangsamoro as a key player in the global halal market.
