The Northern Mindanao Regional Halal Committee (RHC) is set to expand the Halal industry by focusing on increasing both exports and the availability of Halal products and services in the domestic market.
This ambitious goal was outlined by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 OIC-Regional Director Ruel Paclipan during the presentation on the current state of the Halal industry in Northern Mindanao last monthZ
The Oro Best Expo, a flagship event of the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (Oro Chamber), celebrated its 17th year with a theme focused on the growing Halal market in Cagayan de Oro and Northern Mindanao.
This year’s event highlighted the region’s potential in tapping into the Halal sector, with discussions on key topics such as market trends, tourism and agriculture programs, certification processes, and Islamic financing.
In addition to the informative sessions, the Expo also showcased a wide range of Halal products and services from Northern Mindanao, underscoring the region’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for Halal goods both locally and internationally.
