MUSIAD, DTI meet to discuss halal sector investments, partnerships

Key figures from the global and local halal industries recently convened to explore future collaborations aimed at boosting the halal market.

Dr. Riza Derindag and his team from the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) held a meeting with Dir. Aleem Guiapal, Program Head of the Philippine Halal Industry Development at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Elsie Chua, CEO of CDC Holdings and General Manager of Philippine Ulama.

The discussions focused on potential investments, import and export opportunities, and product classification strategies for halal goods. Both MUSIAD and DTI aim to bridge business stakeholders across the globe, strengthening the connection between the Philippines and international partners in the halal market.
