Lanao Del Sur gov’t welcomes Halal Expo Philippines

Lanao Del Sur Vice Governor Muja Adiong met with Halal Expo Philippines on Thursday, to discuss support for local Muslim entrepreneurs ahead of the upcoming Halal Expo in Manila.

The expo aims to enhance the quality of life for Muslims by promoting halal-certified products. It provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their goods with effective digital marketing strategies, helping educate consumers about the importance of halal.

Adiong highlighted the untapped potential of local entrepreneurs in Lanao del Sur, noting that many products still lack halal certification, which restricts market access.

He encouraged local businesses to pursue halal certification to align with Islamic values and expand their reach.

Plans are underway for a pre-expo in the province to raise awareness and promote halal products, including collaborations with certifying bodies to ensure compliance with halal standards. Adiong emphasized the need to support local businesses to strengthen the halal industry in Lanao del Sur.
