The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) will present the country’s top Halal-friendly products and services at the 20th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) from September 17 to 20, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry’s Halal Industry Development-Program Management Office (HID-PMO) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Kuala Lumpur, this participation marks a vital step toward expanding opportunities for the region’s Halal sector.
CITEM aims to position the Philippines as a key player not only in food but also in cosmetics, fashion, finance, and other Halal-related industries.
The Philippines’ participation aligns with efforts to boost trade relations, and CITEM hopes to build on its success at IFEX Philippines in May 2024, which generated P25 million in sales.
At MIHAS 2024, the HID-PMO will also host the Philippine Halal Investment Forum, aiming to enhance the country’s Halal certifications and global positioning.
Twenty exhibitors from the Philippines will showcase their Halal-friendly products under the “Halal-friendly Philippines” campaign.
