The Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT), in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Halal Board (BHB), led a pivotal workshop aimed at refining the Bangsamoro Halal Industry Development Plan (BHIDP).
The event was a crucial step in the ongoing formulation of the BHIDP.
The workshop brought together representatives from various ministries, agencies, and offices within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The primary focus was on conducting a comprehensive review and refinement of the draft investment program, with particular attention to integrating cross-cutting themes that align with the broader goals of the Bangsamoro government.
Key outputs from the workshop included the refinement of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes and the formulation of the BHIDP Results Matrix.
A detailed sectoral theory of change was also developed, providing a strategic framework to guide the implementation of the plan.
The workshop concluded with strategic planning sessions that outlined the next steps for finalizing the BHIDP.
These include further refining the workshop outputs and completing the draft plan. To ensure that the plan reflects the needs and perspectives of the entire Bangsamoro region, provincial consultations will be conducted in the coming months.
Feedback from these consultations will inform additional refinements to the BHIDP, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive development plan for the region’s Halal industry.
The initiative underscores the commitment of MTIT and the Bangsamoro Halal Board to foster sustainable economic growth through the development of a robust Halal industry in BARMM.
