The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Committee on Trade, Investment, and Tourism recently held its third public hearing on Parliament Bill No. 164, the Bangsamoro Halal Fast Food Labeling Act.
The proposed legislation mandates that all fast food restaurants operating in the region clearly label their products and condiments to indicate whether they contain pork, ensuring transparency for consumers observing halal dietary requirements.
The event was attended by halal experts, advocates, and civil society organizations from across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
